EVENT: CURLS & COCKTAILS TAKEOVER NYC
On Saturday, October 17th, the five ladies of The Curly Bunch held a Curls & Cocktails meetup in NYC at Latitude Bar & Grill in Hell’s Kitchen. Tons of curly girls, from near and far, filled the second floor of the bar for a few hours of mingling and curly girl talk.
The lovely ladies of The Curly Bunch greeted attendees as they entered the second floor of the bar. There were few seated booths available, but plenty of standing room, which allowed for mingling and plenty of photo opps.
I arrived at the bar solo and sat in a corner booth. Shortly after, Annisa LiMara sat next to me and we began chatting it up. It’s funny because I had already planned to attend her event the following week, and I had never met her before. (SN: If you’ve met Annisa, you know that she is super sweet and full of great energy.)
Upon arriving at the meetup, attendees received raffle tickets for goodie bags, which included the following:

After several attendees left with what may have been winning tickets, the ladies of The Curly Bunch began quizzing other attendees for a chance to win one of the bags. I was one of the lucky ladies to be quizzed; I had to name the ladies, either who they were or their Instagram names. Let me just say, I came home with a goodie bag *hairflip LOL
Needless to say, the event was very successful in my opinion. The ladies of The Curly Bunch were very hospitable and curly girls were filling the second floor of the bar (as some ladies left, more entered). It was also a great way to meet some new curlfriends outside of Instagram! We see these same faces on our social media timelines, but we never really get a chance to chat with them outside of social media. The Curls & Cocktails meetup was the perfect event to chat with some familiar faces and see some new ones!
